Frequently Asked Questions for Companies1. What is Deal Exchange?Deal Exchange is an online service that was created to assist public and private companies in finding investment capital. The system matches companies that are looking for financing with appropriate Investment Professionals who are looking to finance companies.2. How does Deal Exchange differ from other online services?Deal Exchange has two main differences that other services do not provide:1) Only registered investment professionals may view your business summary and financing requirements (your deal is not being shown to unlicensed agents).
3. How much does Deal Exchange cost?For publicly listed companies on CNSX the cost of Deal Exchange is a one-time setup fee of $400 + GST. For private companies, or public companies not listed on CNSX, the cost is $2,000 + GST. Once a financing is completed these fees are payable again should the company wish to complete another financing.
4. Are there any other fees?Yes, there are success fees payable for successful financings completed through Deal Exchange. The fees are as follows: $1000.00 + 1% of first $500,000 raised. 0.5% of next $1,500,000. 0.25% of next $10,000,000. 5. What are Personal Information Forms (PIFs)?Personal Information Forms or PIFs are documents that you must complete in order to participate on Deal Exchange. They provide a personal and business history of yourself, and include a consent to a criminal records check. The forms must be notarized and filled out in detail. CNSX reviews your PIFs so that the participating dealers can be confident of your management team.6. I have already filled out PIFs with another organization -- do I have to redo them? Yes, because of privacy legislation CNSX has its own PIFs which must be completed to participate in Deal Exchange. |
